André Baptista Espinho, Principal Architect of André Espinho Arquitectura.
He was born in Portugal, Lisbon in 1972. He gain his licentiate degree course in Architecture at the University Lusíada Lisboa on 8 July 1997. Member of The Association of Architects (OA) – Portugal.
Between 1996 and 2007 he was Associate Director and Co-Author at Atelier de Arquitectura Francisco Espinho, Lda.
Since establishing André Espinho Arquitectura in 2001, he is Author and Co-Author of several projects and buildings.
Ordinary Member at The Architecture Lab - Research Center LabART, in the Lisbon campus of Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies (ULHT) Building “U”.

André Espinho Arquitectura was established in 2001 by founder and principal architect, André Espinho.
Experience in Architecture and Interior Architecture, Project Management, and Technical Assistance to Construction.
The main areas of professional activity are Healthcare, Education, Cultural, Residential, Retail &Commercial, Hotels.

André Espinho Arquitectura believes that the project´s importance should be linked to the fully understanding of the Architectural object development premises, and to which type of target client it is meant for, public or privet, regardless of it´s function – Housing, Healthcare, Education amongst others.
The practice´s work is the result of the rigorous analysis of each project, building and the understanding of the diverse needs of the communities they will serve.
Although we live in Hi-tech Era, where virtual reality and computer are the main architect work tool, André Espinho still believe in the importance of drawings, sketches and models in the architectural thinking.

Additional Honors and Awards
Principal work distinguished include:
Health Center of Cascais - extension Alcabideche, selected too be exhibited in the “Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2007”; “WA Award” winner project of the the 7 cycle 2010 of the World Architecture Community with the project School Center Paredes Alenquer, which also ran for the “Gulbenkian Art Prize 2010”.
Invited by La MIPA, Associated Project of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2013, to be part of the Expo 7x7 Contemporary Iberian Architecture with a live presentation and an audiovisual documentary exhibited from 6 to 12 of October 2013 in Lisbon.
